Domain verification can be done through a few different methods, and I shall tell you about those in the following paragharps.

Ways To Verify Domain In Facebook

DNS-domain verification: In Facebook, it is the process of verifying that a domain name is registered with a Domain Name System (DNS) server.

Facebook requires that a DNS record be added for the domain. This DNS record must include a CNAME or A record that points to a Facebook subdomain.

Once the DNS record is added, Facebook will automatically verify the domain and provide access to its resources.

HTML file domain verification: When you set up HTML file upload domain verification for your Facebook app, you’re providing a URL that Facebook can use to verify that you own the domain hosting & the files you’re attempting to upload.

This verification is part of Facebook’s security measures to help prevent content from being uploaded that doesn’t originate from the verified domain.

Meta Tag verification: In this case, you need to copy and paste the Facebook meta tag to your site’s header part. Once done submit your site to verify in Facebook business manager.

This verification process involves adding a special tag to the HTML code of your website. Once you’ve added the tag, only files from your domain will be able to be uploaded to Facebook.

Why you should use your primary domain

Your primary domain is the most important part of your online identity.

It is the foundation of your brand and the home of your website. Your primary domain should be chosen carefully and easy to remember and spell. It should also be relevant to your business or personal brand.

Always use your primary domain for many reasons,

including building trust with your audience,

A strong primary domain can help you build a successful online business or personal brand.

The steps are,

Next login to your WordPress dashboard.

Go to the Plugins tab, click on the Add new button and type for a plugin named Insert Headers and Footers.

Install the plugin, and go to the settings area.

Next, paste the meta tag which you have copied from your business manager page in the Scripts in Header Section,

Once done save it.

Next go to your home page, right click and hover on to the View page source section.

Now in the page source, search your meta tag with the Cntrl F command.

Once you find the meta tag, it means the meta tag is successfully inserted in your home page header.

Generally, tags are inserted at the header part, as the header portion is accepted to load most quickly when anyone look for your website.

And thus the trigger happens.

After the above step is successfully done, keep a 10-minute of gap and then go back to your Facebook business manager, there you will find the Verify domain button.

Click on it, and a pop-up will be shown as ”yourdomain.com has been verified”.

As shown in the below snap.

After clicking on the ‘Done ‘ button, you can also find your domain verified option highlighted at the top of the same page.

Note: In many cases it may happen that the verification is declined once you click on the Verify button.
